Pictured is a short excerpt of my website's HTTP live firewall logs in real-time. This traffic amount is relatively ordinary. Long term average is 45 requests per second, pictured is a burst of 100+ r/s. Some bursts go up to 500 r/s or perhaps more. Keep in mind: Even the normal User-Agents are bots, they are just disguised. Normal users can reliably access the website and false flags are extremely rare. The site has approximately 99.5% bot requests, meaning 0.5% actual pointful requests, of which many are still automated API calls.
